Announcement: Since we are hosting the Cupid Classic this weekend, we will be bringing a lot of bumper plates up to Concordia High School on Friday evening. As a result, bumper plates will be in very short supply on Saturday morning (i.e., the day of the meet, 02/11/17). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for understanding. As a side note, the shortage of bumpers is a great reason to come on up to the school and support your fellow lifters! And of course, afterward, join us at the Mueller house for feasting and fun (a sign-up sheet is up at the gym for bringing sides or desserts)!

Lunges are “stationary,” not walking. Also, these are regular lunges, not reverse lunges, so be sure to step forward to begin the lunge. Alternate legs for each lunge.

Option 1:
“Grace”
For time:
30 Clean and Jerks, 135#/93#

6:00 cap. Any version of a clean is acceptable (power or full), and any version of shoulder-to-overhead is acceptable (push jerk, split jerk, or push press . . . or even press, but that’s just ridiculous).

Option 2:
10 min AMReAP of:
10 1-arm DB Hang Power Snatches, 50#/30# (5R, 5L)
10 1-arm DB Hang Power Clean and Jerks, 50#/30# (5R, 5L)
10 Push-ups
10 Jumping Squats

The snatches are split evenly between right-hand and left-hand, but they can be completed in any manner desired (e.g., 5R-5L, R-L-R-L-…, etc.). This is likewise true for the clean and jerks.

Compare to 2016.01.25.

Option 3:
Sled Pyramid – 4, 5, or 6 tiers
Go up and down a 4, 5, or 6 tier “sled pyramid” – rest as needed. The distance for each round is 80 m (a down-back on the 40m course). Rest as needed.

For example, Bob does the following (4 tiers):
Round 1: Empty sled
Round 2: 25#
Round 3: 50#
Round 4: 75#
Round 5: 50#
Round 6: 25#

1 burp-up consists of a burpee followed immediately by a jumping pull-up (skip the clap of the burpee). No fair doing a bunch of burpees followed by a bunch of jumping pull-ups.

Option 2:
4 rounds of:
1 min to complete 16, 12, or 8 burpees, rest remainder of minute
1 min to complete 40 double-unders, rest remainder of minute
1 min to complete 16 alternating box step ups (24″/18″) holding KB (1.5 pood/1 pood) or DB (55#/35#) goblet-style, rest remainder of minute
1 min to complete 12 weighted sit-ups holding KB (1.5 pood/1 pood) or DB (55#/35#), rest remainder of minute

The clock will be counting down from 1:00 at each station – your score is your total amount of rest time from all 4 rounds (i.e., 16 stations). At the end of the minute, you move to the next station (whether or not finished the prescribed number of reps). For the burpees – before the workout begins – choose either 16, 12, or 8 reps. Choose wisely – once the number is chosen, it stays the same for all 4 rounds.
