This Week’s Conditioning

Option 1
Partner WOD
3 x 2 minutes of:
10/25/50 Double-unders
20 Goblet Squats, 40#/25#
ME Burpees

In two minutes, Partner A will do 10, 25, or 50 double-unders (choose your own adventure), followed by 20 goblet squats, followed by as many burpees as possible in the remainder of the two minutes (ME = max effort). At the end of the two minutes, Partner B will do the same, i.e., double-unders followed by goblet squats followed by ME burpees. Each partner will perform 3 iterations of this (for a total workout time of 12 minutes). If doing this without a partner, simply rest 2 minutes between rounds.

For time:
15-10-5 Burpees
30-20-10 Overhead Reverse Alternating Lunges, 45#/25#
45-30-15 Sit-ups

You will do 15 burpees, 30 lunges, 45 sit-ups, then 10 burpees, 20 lunges, 30 sit-ups, then 5 burpees, 10 lunges, 15 sit-ups.

Announcement: Since we are hosting the Cupid Classic this weekend, we will be bringing a lot of bumper plates up to Concordia High School on Friday evening. As a result, bumper plates will be in very short supply on Saturday morning (i.e., the day of the meet, 02/11/17). As a side note, the shortage of bumpers is a great reason to come on up to the school and support your fellow lifters! 1 burp-up consists of a burpee followed immediately by a jumping pull-up (skip the clap of the burpee). No fair doing a bunch of burpees followed by a bunch of jumping pull-ups.

Option 2:
4 rounds of:
1 min to complete 16, 12, or 8 burpees, rest remainder of minute
1 min to complete 40 double-unders, rest remainder of minute
1 min to complete 16 alternating box step ups (24″/18″) holding KB (1.5 pood/1 pood) or DB (55#/35#) goblet-style, rest remainder of minute
1 min to complete 12 weighted sit-ups holding KB (1.5 pood/1 pood) or DB (55#/35#), rest remainder of minute

The clock will be counting down from 1:00 at each station – your score is your total amount of rest time from all 4 rounds (i.e., 16 stations). At the end of the minute, you move to the next station (whether or not finished the prescribed number of reps). For the burpees – before the workout begins – choose either 16, 12, or 8 reps. Choose wisely – once the number is chosen, it stays the same for all 4 rounds.
